Funding Education Proposals

We will be seeking proposals in 2006 from Indonesian NGOs that are positioned to develop and deliver education curricula to target communities where orangutan survival is at risk.  We will prioritize and select the most appropriate proposal (s) that meet our criteria for funding. We will then attempt to locate funds or assist the NGO(s) in acquiring those funds.

 

We will initially be modest in our funding but will be able to grant larger or more numerous grants as our funding sources become more stable and numerous. We may also fund only a portion of a grant proposal so applying NGOs should locate other sources of funds. We will list recipients of OUR EI grants once funding has been disbursed.

If you are interested in applying for funds through OUREI to develop and/or deliver education programs in Indonesia, email us so we can discuss your funding options. We currently administer the L P Jenkins Memorial Fellowship

for student research and conservation education regarding orangutans or their rainforest habitat.
